The Plastic Dr. has 20 years of experience in plastic, fiberglass and carbon fiber repair. His initial start began in automotive plastic repair in 1983. However, he received occassional requests to repair motorcycle bodywork from friends who he had met at Road Atlanta as a corner worker. He continued to repair automotive plastic throughout the years.

In 1998, a bike owner needed a section altered. When it was completed, the bike owner was so impressed with his work that he informed the Plastic Dr. that he would refer his drag-racing friends, claiming that he was some sort of "Plastic Doctor". And so the name was coined. The Plastic Dr. has been busy ever since.
